The Solar Camping Shower to Your Rescue
A lot of people like to go camping where there isn’t running water or electricity. They like to go out where they can go fishing, hunting or maybe just to enjoy the outdoors. The one thing that many people find annoying is that they can’t take a nice warm shower.
Camping showers are popular but one problem with these is that you have to fill them with water that is cold or lukewarm. But they do have solar camping showers that will help to warm the water with the sun. You won’t have Hot Water first thing in the morning, but by the end of the day there will be plenty of Hot Water for you to take a shower as long as you have sunshine most of the day and the air temperature is relatively warm.
Solar camping showers have a bag that you fill just like the other showers for camping. The one difference in those is that the bag will be black and it is not shiny like the other shower bags that you can buy. Because it is not shiny, it absorbs the heat from the rays of the sun instead of reflecting it off. It does not require any electricity or running water.
The bag will have a spout with a valve on it to help conserve the hot water. You can shut it off while you are lathering up or putting shampoo on your hair. It is not going to hold enough water to take a long shower but it is enough to get you cleaned up. You could also use it for washing your hands during the day also.
There is one thing you will need to watch when waiting for the water to heat up. Since this does use the sun to heat the water up, you will need to make sure that the shower stays in the sunlight. You can hang a tarp around the shower for privacy. But remember when you do this, you will need to make sure you are not blocking the sunshine. You can also buy specially made shower covers. They are sold the same places as the showers are sold.
They are adjustable in height. You hang them up where it is convenient for you to use. If you take kids camping with you, you can lower it so that they can reach to use it also. It would probably be fun for them and you won’t have to force them in there. Kids are always willing to try new things that are neat.
Solar camping showers are an inexpensive way to relieve some of the stress from camping. They don’t require any electricity to use. There are no restrictions in campgrounds of using these. If the sun isn’t shining, then you won’t have hot water. This isn’t going to work if it is real cold out either.
